Basketball Game Preview: Valley View Spartans vs. Carlisle Indians

Valley View is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Carlisle is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Valley View Spartans will welcome the Carlisle Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Despite their defeat, Valley View saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chase Wallace, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Those 12 points gave Wallace a new career-high. Ty Fritz was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Carlisle's strategy against Legacy Christian Academy on Tuesday. Carlisle blew past Legacy Christian Academy 75-49. The Indians have beaten the Knights the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Knights has come to flipping the script.

Carlisle's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
