Basketball Recap: State Line HomeSchool R Takes a Loss

State Line HomeSchool R lost against South Guilford HomeSchool back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The State Line HomeSchool R Rush took a hard 74-56 fall against the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Rush can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 206th in Virginia, while the Cougars are ranked 45th in North Carolina).

Kourtney Bullins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Guilford HomeSchool, putting up 27 points in addition to five steals and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bullins has scored at least a third of South Guilford HomeSchool's points. Another player making a difference was Sadie Harrell, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.

State Line HomeSchool R's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. State Line HomeSchool R will venture away from home to square off against Lynchburg HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they will head out to face off against Surry HomeSchool on Thursday.
