The University of California Davis football program got its first reported verbal commitment in the 2017 class when prolific Arizona quarterback Tehran Thomas pledged to the Aggies.

Over the past two seasons, Thomas has been about as dynamic a quarterback out there. During his sophomore season with Desert Edge (Goodyear, Ariz.), he completed 64 percent of his passes, racking up 1,363 yards in the air with 15 scores against just three interceptions. On the ground, Thomas led his team with 1,598 rushing yards off 149 carries with 23 additional touchdowns sporting a 10.7 yards per carry average.

Working against Arizona Section III talent again in 2015, the 5-foot-10, 208-pound playmaker was back at it, besting himself on the stat line with 1,149 yards passing, again connecting on 64 percent of his attempts with 17 touchdowns against four interceptions.
