Basketball Recap: Denison-Schleswig Takes a Loss

Denison-Schleswig was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 41-28 to the AHSTW Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Vikings are ranked 140th).

Denison-Schleswig's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for AHSTW, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Denison-Schleswig didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 92-50 loss against Glenwood on the 14th. As for AHSTW, they will face off against Southwest Valley on Monday.
