Manteca extended their winning streak to eight on Friday, bumping them up to 8-0. They claimed a resounding 56-20 victory over the East Union Lancers. The Buffaloes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 29 points or more this season.

Nikko Juarez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 180 yards and four TDs. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 126 rushing yards. Another rusher making a difference was Maava Tialavea, who rushed for 62 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Manteca's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Mathieu Evans, Tialavea, and Kyrin Barajas, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in East Union's side was Evans, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

As for East Union, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-3. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why East Union lost, don't look at Jackson Fay. Despite the final result, he rushed for 187 yards and three scores while picking up 8.9 yards per carry.

Manteca and East Union should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Buffaloes will challenge Patterson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (30 vs. 270). Meanwhile, East Union (ranked 197th) will meet Mountain House (ranked 556th) at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
