Preview: Carlisle Bison vs. Baptist Prep Eagles
The Carlisle Bison will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Baptist Prep Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Carlisle's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Baptist Prep has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Carlisle on the road against Hampton as the squad secured a 70-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Carlisle, who have now won four matches by 42 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-14, which was the final score in Baptist Prep's tilt against Bearden on Friday.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Titus Yager, who picked up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Carlisle has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in six of their first seven games, giving them a 6-1 record. Baptist Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Carlisle against Baptist Prep when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 48-13 win. Will Carlisle repeat their success, or does Baptist Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
