Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Mineral Springs

Mineral Springs entered their tilt with Nevada on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Blue Jays a 3-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Mineral Springs' win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Nevada, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mineral Springs will take on Kirby at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Nevada, they are taking a road trip to face off against Columbia Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Jays are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
