Basketball Recap: Las Cruces Gets the Win

On Saturday Las Cruces's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Del Norte Knights, sneaking past 39-36. The Bulldawgs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

When it comes to explaining why Del Norte lost, don't look at Francois Satchivi. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-10 to rack up 20 points. Satchivi has also also been stellar as far as three-point shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.

Las Cruces' victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Del Norte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Las Cruces will take on Rio Grande in a tournament on Thursday. As for Del Norte, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Menaul at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
