Basketball Recap: Bishop O'Connell Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Bishop O'Connell rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Catholic Crusaders 61-59.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dean Williams, who shot 78% from the field en route to 18 points and eight boards. The game was Williams' seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Carter Bullock, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Bishop O'Connell's victory bumped their record up to 22-9. As for Catholic, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 29-5.

Bishop O'Connell has already played their next contest, a 62-57 win against Highland on the 27th. Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
