Preview: Edison Red Raiders vs. Miami Springs Golden Hawks
The Edison Red Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Miami Springs Golden Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 23 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Edison and 13 for Miami Springs dating back to last season.
Edison suffered their biggest loss since November 27, 2023 on Thursday. Their tough 64-40 defeat to Booker T. Washington might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, Miami Springs had to suffer through a rough 86-34 loss at the hands of American. Miami Springs has not had much luck with American recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Edison's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.9 points per game. As for Miami Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
Edison was taken down by Miami Springs 61-14 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Edison was down 38-7.
