They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 15-2 walloping at the hands of the Coastal Academy Stingrays on Friday. Army-Navy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Coastal Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.
Army-Navy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Little, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
On Coastal Academy's side, Jayce Costephens was excellent, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and a run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Clepper, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Army-Navy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Coastal Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tri-City Christian the next time they take the field. Coastal Academy will host Tri-City Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Army-Navy will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
