Tarrant's loss ends four-game winning streak at home

Recap: Tarrant Wildcats vs. Midfield Patriots

After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Saturday, the Tarrant Wildcats came back down to earth. Tarrant suffered a rough 85-59 defeat at the hands of Midfield on Thursday. Tarrant has struggled against Midfield recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Midfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aaron Adams-Martin led the charge by scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Armonie Franklin, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals.

Tarrant's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Midfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Tarrant won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Indian Springs at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Indian Springs is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. Midfield will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Southeastern at 5:30 p.m. on January 20th. One thing working in Southeastern's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
