Laker and Bad Axe are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2022, but not for long. The Laker Lakers will host the Bad Axe Hatchets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Laker knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Bad Axe likes a good challenge.

Bad Axe has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-51 heartbreaker at the hands of Unionville-Sebewaing. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hatchets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Patriots are ranked 410th).

Laker's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Bad Axe, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.

Laker beat Bad Axe 77-68 in their previous matchup on Wednesday. Will Laker repeat their success, or does Bad Axe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
