Northeastern is a perfect 4-0 against Catholic Central since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Jets will challenge the Irish at 5:00 p.m. Northeastern will be strutting in after a victory while Catholic Central will be coming in after a loss.

Northeastern is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Greenon two weeks ago as they made off with an 11-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Jets in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to West Liberty-Salem.

Catholic Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Strother, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Northeastern's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Catholic Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Northeastern was able to grind out a solid victory over Catholic Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, winning 6-3. Do the Jets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Irish turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
