Volleyball Recap: Emily Sewell Key Part of Team Effort in Black Hawks Win

Grafton won the last time they faced Varsity Opponent and things went their way on Saturday too. The Black Hawks walked away with a 2-0 victory over Varsity Opponent. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Black Hawks.

Grafton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Sewell, who had 14 digs and one assist. Those 14 digs gave Sewell a new career-high. Grace Tilley also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Grafton's victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Grafton will square off against Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Black Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Galesburg on the 30th.
