A.L. Brown hadn't done well against Salisbury recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Wonders narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hornets 45-43. For the Wonders, this counts as revenge for the 73-40 win the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

A.L. Brown found their leader in sophomore Alauna Massey, who posted 15 points. Makenzie Goode-Roberts was another key player, putting up eight points.

Despite the loss, Salisbury still got an impressive performance from Jaliyah McNeely, who shot 63% from the field on her way to 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. McNeely has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kearia Spruill, who earned four points along with five boards and three steals.

The victory got A.L. Brown back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A.L. Brown will host Ballantyne Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wonders will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Salisbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Statesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
