Volleyball Game Preview: Salt Lake Academy Griffins vs. Draper APA Eagles

The Salt Lake Academy Griffins will head out on the road to take on the Draper APA Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Salt Lake Academy's win against American Leadership Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Griffins narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eagles 3-2.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Salt Lake Academy got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 17-25, 25-21, 22-25, 15-3.

Meanwhile, Draper APA waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pirates.

Draper APA was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-14, 21-25, 25-15, 25-13.

Draper APA's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Salt Lake Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything went Salt Lake Academy's way against Draper APA in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Salt Lake Academy made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Griffins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
