Recap: Kinkaid Falcons vs. Greenhill Hornets
The Kinkaid Falcons and the Greenhill Hornets squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Kinkaid Falcons had to settle for second. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 74-52 walloping at the hands of the Hornets. Kinkaid has not had much luck with Greenhill recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Jaxson Thompson was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with eight assists and six rebounds for Greenhill. That makes it three consecutive games in which Thompson has scored at least a third of Greenhill's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Watt, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Kinkaid has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-24 record this season. As for Greenhill, their victory bumped their record up to 28-4.
Kinkaid does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenhill, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-65 victory vs. Episcopal School of Dallas on the 10th.
