Softball Recap: West Haven Comes Up Short

West Haven fell victim to North Haven and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 15-0 to the Nighthawks. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

West Haven now has a losing record of 2-3. As for North Haven, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Haven is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Sheehan at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.4 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Haven, they will take on Foran at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Nighthawks 3.3, the Lions 1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
