Volleyball Recap: Southeast of Saline Comes Up Short

Southeast of Saline lost against Hoisington back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans fell 2-0 to the Cardinals.

While Southeast of Saline had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21.

Hoisington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miya Nachtigal, who had nine digs and one assist.

Southeast of Saline has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-20 record this season. As for Hoisington, they pushed their record up to 29-4 with the victory, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Southeast of Saline didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hesston on the 9th. As for Hoisington, they will venture away from home to take on Ellsworth on Thursday.
