Softball Recap: Chisholm Trail Comes Up Short

Chisholm Trail managed to slip by Aledo the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chisholm Trail Rangers came up short against the Aledo Bearcats on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Chisholm Trail has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7-1 record this season. The victory was the fifth in a row for Aledo, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chisholm Trail will face off against Saginaw at 1:00 p.m. on March 20th. As for Aledo, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Aledo Bearcats duke it out with Fossil Ridge Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Their pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Fossil Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
