Preview: Wooster Generals vs. Copley Indians
Wooster has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Copley Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wooster posted their closest victory since January 5th on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Madison Comprehensive 44-41. The victory was just what Wooster needed coming off of a 68-42 defeat in their prior matchup.
Wooster can attribute much of their success to Anthony Carmean, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Holford, who scored two points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Copley waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They strolled past Aurora with points to spare, taking the game 63-48. 63 seems to be a good number for Copley as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Wooster's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Copley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
Wooster won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, slipping by Copley 62-61. Will Wooster repeat their success, or does Copley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
