Recap: Lake Fenton Blue Devils vs. Grand Blanc Bobcats
The Lake Fenton Blue Devils put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Grand Blanc with a 58-52 victory. For Lake Fenton, this counts as revenge for the 46-31 loss Grand Blanc walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2016.
Lake Fenton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Parker Beardsley, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Savannah "sj" fellenbaum, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Lake Fenton pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.69 points. As for Grand Blanc, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Fenton will be home for the holidays to greet Clarkston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarkston presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Fenton in Michigan (Clarkston is ranked 17th, while Lake Fenton is ranked 76th). Grand Blanc will be home for the holidays to greet Traverse City Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
