Basketball Recap: Arcadia Titans vs. Saguaro Sabercats

Arcadia lost against Saguaro back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Arcadia Titans lost to the Saguaro Sabercats on the road by a 71-57 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Titans still had to take the loss.

Saguaro found their leader in freshman Nas Hailey, who went 9 of 13 en route to 26 points and seven boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hailey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Hinds, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points and six steals.

Arcadia's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Saguaro, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-6.

Arcadia is taking a road trip to square off against Cactus Shadows at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cactus Shadows has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Saguaro, they will be playing at home against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saguaro knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully St. Mary's likes a good challenge.
