Basketball Recap: Valiant Cross Academy Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Valiant Cross Academy extended their home winning streak to 14 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Deshawn Hall. The Valiant Cross Academy Warriors strolled past the Springwood Wildcats with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 65-47 thanks in part to Hall, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 47 times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Richardson, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 10 points and five boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Valiant Cross Academy's victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Springwood, they moved to 9-6 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valiant Cross Academy has already played their next game (against Evangel Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Springwood is taking a road trip to square off against Konos Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Springwood is facing Konos Academy at the right time seeing as Konos Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
