Basketball Game Preview: Leto Falcons vs. King Lions

The Leto Falcons will face off against the King Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Leto duked it out withArmwood on Wednesday. Leto took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Armwood. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were outmatched by Gaither and fell 88-48. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 687th, while the Cowboys are ranked 273rd).

King's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Leto, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Leto didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against King in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, but they still walked away with a 67-63 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was King's Tony Livingston, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for Leto to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
