Basketball Recap: Gloucester Catholic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Clayton last Tuesday, Gloucester Catholic came back down to earth. The Gloucester Catholic Rams were dealt a 78-31 loss at the hands of the Woodstown Wolverines on Thursday. The match marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Gloucester Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Woodstown, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gloucester Catholic will take on Woodbury at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
