League recap: Gomez throws longest pass in league this season for Avalon

Ernesto Gomez and Jerod Long provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Mojave. The longest such play in Coastal (8 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 67 yards.

Avalon extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Mustangs, 44-27. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.

Avalon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. David Castro has thrown for 398 yards and 39 touchdowns this season, while Long has 14 catches for 380 yards.

Avalon led the league in scoring this week by notching 44 points on Mojave. Long ran for 47 yards and caught 3 passes for 132 yards in the win.
