Los Alamos has gone 9-1 against Moriarty recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hilltoppers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pintos at 3:00 p.m. This will be Los Alamos' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Last Thursday, Los Alamos and Capital finished up on equal footing with a 4-4 draw.

Meanwhile, Moriarty made easy work of Pojoaque Valley on Wednesday and carried off a 15-6 win. Considering the Pintos have won ten matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Isabella Gallegos made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Moriarty got a massive performance out of Sienna Rios, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. Shae Rios was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Los Alamos' tie gives them a new season record of 5-5-1. As for Moriarty, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Everything went Los Alamos' way against Moriarty when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Los Alamos made off with a 13-0 win. Do the Hilltoppers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pintos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
