Volleyball Recap: Back of the Yards College Prep Takes a Loss

Back of the Yards College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Morgan Park Mustangs. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

Allison Granat paced Back of the Yards College Prep's offense, picking up nine kills. Granat got some help from Paola Diaz and her 15 assists. Esmeralda Martinez controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Back of the Yards College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Morgan Park, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Back of the Yards College Prep has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Juarez on the 25th. As for Morgan Park, they will face off against Hubbard at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
