Basketball Recap: Hoxie Takes a Loss

Hoxie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Rivercrest Colts, falling 51-31. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Colts are ranked 84th).

Hoxie's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Rivercrest, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Hoxie will square off against Walnut Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rivercrest has already played their next contest (against Memphis Home Education Association), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
