Baseball Game Preview: Culpeper County Blue Devils vs. Caroline Cavaliers

Culpeper County hasn't had much luck against Caroline recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Caroline took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Culpeper County, who comes in off a win.

Culpeper County was handed a six-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Eastern View 4-2.

Meanwhile, Caroline lost 13-3 to Freeman on Wednesday.

Caroline saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Culpeper County's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Caroline, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Culpeper County skirted past Caroline 5-3 in their previous matchup last Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
