Softball Recap: Brunswick Sets Scoring Season-High Against Cleveland Heights

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brunswick). They never let the Cleveland Heights Tigers get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Blue Devils, who have now won four contests in a row.

Kaelyn Stolarski was incredible, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with six RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bri Flanigan, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Brunswick hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Brunswick's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Cleveland Heights, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brunswick will take on Keystone at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cleveland Heights, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Shaker Heights at 5:00 p.m.
