Football Recap: Florida Christian Skates Past Smarten Sports Academy with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Florida Christian's strategy against SmartEn Sports Academy on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Patriots blew the Goats out of the water with a 43-6 final score. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 36 points or more this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Cordell Gibson and Timothy Chennis. Gibson rushed for 102 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries while Chennis gained 58 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Gibson posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Florida Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Florida Christian's defense and their ten sacks. It was truly a group effort as Osmanny Montano, Chennis, and Gibson picked up two apiece.

The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.8 points over those games. As for SmartEn Sports Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
