Recap: Cedar Grove Saints vs. Creekside Christian Academy Cougars
The Cedar Grove Saints won the last time they faced the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars, and things went their way on Saturday too. Cedar Grove came out on top against Creekside Christian Academy by a score of 66-54.
Cedar Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Scott, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Norval Rhodes, who scored 17 points.
When it comes to explaining why Creekside Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cedric Taylor. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kelton Teasley, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Cedar Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Creekside Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
Cedar Grove will head out on the road to square off against Carver at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 479th, while Cedar Grove is ranked 47th). As for Creekside Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Konos Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Konos Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
