Greenwood Mennonite had won 14 straight games dating back to last season and Carter Long did his part to make it 15 on Thursday. The Greenwood Mennonite Flames walked away with a 51-40 victory over the Concord Christian Academy Minutemen thanks in part to Long, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Greenwood Mennonite's points.

Another player making a difference was Woody Bates, who posted five points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (two).

Concord Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Keavon Bailey - HS, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Bailey - HS has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. David Acevedo was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Greenwood Mennonite pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Concord Christian Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Greenwood Mennonite didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-33 victory against Chestertown Christian Academy on the 31st. Concord Christian Academy has also already played their next game (against Calvary Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
