Preview: Sullivan Redskins vs. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights
The Sullivan Redskins will head out on the road to take on the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, everything went Sullivan's way against Cumberland as Sullivan made off with a 52-31 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sullivan.
Meanwhile, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 72-45 win over Heritage. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond had established a 23 point advantage.
Sullivan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, they pushed their record up to 10-16 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Sullivan beat Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond 59-47 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Sullivan repeat their success, or does Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
