Volleyball Recap: Gilmour Academy Takes a Loss

Gilmour Academy was the 2-1 winner over Bishop Watterson when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Gilmour Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 21-25, 25-17.

Gilmour Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Bishop Watterson, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Coming up, Gilmour Academy will head out to challenge Northview at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Watterson, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against West at 6:00 p.m.
