Softball Game Preview: Edmonds-Woodway Warriors vs. Meadowdale Mavericks

Edmonds-Woodway is 2-8 against Meadowdale since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Edmonds-Woodway will venture away from home to square off against Meadowdale at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Edmonds-Woodway lost 10-3 to Stanwood on Monday.

Edmonds-Woodway saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Jones has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Meadowdale came up short against Snohomish on Monday, falling 9-1. The loss continues a trend for the Mavericks in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Edmonds-Woodway couldn't quite get it done against Meadowdale in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 14-9. Can Edmonds-Woodway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
