Basketball Recap: Britany Godoy's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Juarez over Hancock

Juarez was the 47-23 winner over Hancock when they last played one another back in March of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Juarez Eagles fell 27-20 to the Hancock Eagles on Saturday. The contest marked Juarez's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Juarez lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Britany Godoy, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Martha Patino, who put up six points.

Juarez is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5. As for Hancock, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Juarez wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 104-9 loss against Butler on the 8th. As for Hancock, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 27-24 win against Bulls College Prep on the 30th.
