Softball Recap: Howell Comes Up Short

Howell lost against Middletown North back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rebels fell 8-4 to the Lions. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Howell's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Middletown North, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howell will head out to challenge Brick Memorial at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Mustangs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Middletown North, they will venture away from home to face off against Toms River East at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
