Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Roughriders vs. Berthoud Spartans

The Roosevelt Roughriders are taking a road trip to face off against the Berthoud Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.

Last Thursday, Roosevelt blew past Severance, posting an 82-43 win. The Roughriders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Berthoud entered their game against Thompson Valley on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Berthoud took a 46-32 bruising from Thompson Valley.

Roosevelt has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.6 points. As for Berthoud, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Roosevelt was able to grind out a solid victory over Berthoud when the teams last played back in January, winning 65-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roosevelt since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
