Football Recap: Hawthorne Comes Up Short

Hawthorne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 28-21 to the New Milford Knights. Bears fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Knights since Friday.

Hawthorne now has a losing record of 2-3. As for New Milford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hawthorne will face off against rival Secaucus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, New Milford is set to challenge their familiar foe Saddle Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
