Recap: Penn Cambria Panthers vs. Tyrone Golden Eagles
If the Penn Cambria Panthers were feeling good off their 63-38 takedown of the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Penn Cambria took a 77-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tyrone on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Wednesday (63), Penn Cambria still had to take the loss.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Easton Semelsberger, who scored 13 points along with nine assists. That's the first time this season that Semelsberger posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Harrold, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Penn Cambria now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Tyrone, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Penn Cambria will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Carroll at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Bishop Carroll focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. As for Tyrone, they will be playing at home against Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Central is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
