Softball Recap: Breathitt County Takes a Loss

Breathitt County extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 10-15 in the process. They came up short against the Perry County Central Commodores, falling 12-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Perry County Central, they pushed their record up to 20-10 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

For Perry County Central's part, Taylan Hoskins was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Olivia Robinson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Breathitt County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Perry County Central, they are taking a road trip to face off against Estill County at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Engineers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Commodores surely won't give up without a fight.
