After a string of four wins, Mineral Point's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lomira Lions. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Pointers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mineral Point's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lomira, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Mineral Point didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 victory against Waterloo on the 26th. As for Lomira, they will square off against St. Mary's Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
