Soccer Game Preview: Donna North vs. Weslaco East

The Donna North Chiefs will square off against the Weslaco East Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weslaco East took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Donna North, who comes in off a win.

Donna North's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Pace 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Weslaco East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Porter. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Cowboys are ranked 162nd).

The victory got Donna North back to even at 4-4. As for Weslaco East, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Donna North took their win against Weslaco East in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Donna North repeat their success, or does Weslaco East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
