Basketball Game Preview: Ridgeland Titans vs. Lake Cormorant

The Ridgeland Titans will face off against Lake Cormorant at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ridgeland will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Ridgeland is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Columbus, who was ranked second at the time (Ridgeland was ranked fifth). Ridgeland walked away with a 53-46 victory over Columbus on Friday.

Ridgeland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Khameron Snow led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine steals. That's the most steals Snow has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Phil Nelson, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points.

Meanwhile, Lake Cormorant was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 40-36 to Center Hill. The matchup marked Lake Cormorant's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ridgeland's win bumped their record up to 26-4. As for Lake Cormorant, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-7.
