Football Recap: Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Faith Christian made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Tri-County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 50-48 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (40), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Blake Jones threw for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Brayden Heerdink was his top target, picking up 109 receiving yards and two TDs.

Aiden Duniphan went supernova For Tri-County., rushing for 175 yards and four scores, while also throwing for 173 yards on nine of 18 attempts. Those 175 rushing yards gave Duniphan a new career-high. Colt O'Neil also helped out with an impressive 101 receiving yards.

Faith Christian dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Tri-County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
