Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Stanton's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Stanton won the last time they faced Wakefield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans.

One reason for the win was Stanton's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 25-10.

Bridget Marotz paced Stanton's offense, picking up 14 kills. Marotz got some help from Bergan Pohlman and her 21 assists. Pohlman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Stanton is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Wakefield, their loss was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-24.

Stanton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wakefield, they will venture away from home to face off against Homer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
